This Little Boy was a good boy. Yes sometimes he was bad,
but he wanted our attention. Well there were times he really
got our attention. I didn't think that a spider monkey could
be so loving and sweet. This Little boy gave me and his father
so much joy. He would lay in bed with us and watch TV .
When he heard women voice's he would go crazy. You
couldn't help but to laugh at him. When a friend would come
over to our house he would get down and go to the women
and love them, play in their hair. He loved Blonde's the best.
When he got done playing they needed to brush their hair.
Jake was a very special boy, Remembering the day his father
went to the sell in Macon Missouri. He knew that he wanted a
baby spider monkey. Not caring what sex it was. A woman
pulled up in a mini van, when she got out My husband saw
that she had some babies and when he took one look he knew
he had found a baby. After paying 5,000 dollars he was ready
to go home. After leaving for home we had to pull over side
the road to change his diaper, Well it took both of us do that.
He even bit me. For him to be so little it hurt. He was just 3
weeks old. Boy, his father was happy. From that day on Jake
became part of our family. Vets around home didn't know
much about primates so we would take him 3 hours away to
the vet. Boy, a vet check was like taking your child to the
Doctor. But when we brought him home we knew that it was a
lot of care and attention. We took care of this Little Man up
until he passed away April 2005. Sometimes it seems like
yesterday. We can talk about some of the things he did and
we start crying. It is like losing a real child. Jake had a girl
friend name Vanna, but she had a handicap problem. She had
been mistreated, her arm and tail had been broken. My
husband said she was missing something up stairs if you know
what i mean. But she was Jake's friend and we said we would
take care of her till she passed away. Because after all he spent
the last 9 months of his life with her outside. She would set in
a basket with him and they would eat together. It was so sweet
to see them together. We made a promise to Jake that we
would take care of his friends till the end and we will. Thanks
Little Man for all this years we had with you. You will always
be a part of our lives. You're in our thought everyday. We
Miss you more than you will ever know. Love you so much,
